Dash Goes BPU... And it's going be a lot of work! (Part 3)

The whole project has taken some time, but I think you'll agree that the results were worth it. (Click on the picture for a larger image.)

That's midnight purple and a lot of polish.

One of the trickiest parts of this job was getting boost pipes to fit the imported front-mounted intercooler that Dash asked us to install. We couldn't find any pipes to fit, so in the end we had them made to measure!

We also had to cut his Veilside nosecone in order to get the large FMIC to fit. It's a real shame to have to hack a genuine fibreglass Veilside nosecone, but we were man enough for the job!! We also ripped out the tarnished old mesh and replaced with the Jag mesh... It's all the rage.

The FMIC really gives the Supra a mean look... Like it's ready to swallow any small children that get too close.

It was music to our ears when we first turned over Dash's Supra after all the work was completed. You can't beat the sound of a fully decatted straight-six matched with a Blitz exhaust. Loud... But not too loud.

Dash has now taken his Pride-and-Joy home. He's now got to run in for 500 miles, which means no going over 3000rpm and no more than 0.5 bar of boost. Imagine having all that power and being told not to use it!! But it'll be back when those miles are done. We'll give it a quick checkup and an oil change and then Dash can unleash the beast!
